This time of year, it is common for one not to enjoy the days of summer. While some people love the pouring sweat dripping from their faces, many of us enjoy bundling up to keep warm in front of a cozy fire. You may want to hibernate in this season as the days grow hotter. Trust me; it is precisely what I have been sharing with friends and family…Summer Hibernation, here I come! But I know there is so much more than hibernating during the hottest time of the year. Thanks to my oldest Cheetah, we made a summer bucket list to guide us through the year’s hottest months.

Summer Adventures

Summer adventures may not sound appealing right now, but keeping busy will help you experience the wonder of the season differently if you want to breeze through the heat quickly. As you leave your home, pay attention to your surroundings, look for the sunflower field, stop at the local coffee shop, or swing by your local library to pick up a cool summer read. Grab a friend, take a walk at your park, or go for a drive and window shop at local boutiques.

This summer, I am looking forward to spending time with my family. We will star gaze from our back porch and hunt for fireflies. Glide to the skating rink to “really” learn how to skate. Make homemade lemonade popsicles while we curl up and enjoy a new movie. We will indulge in our favorite snacks while dancing to K-Pop music and plan our next adventures. During July, we enjoy celebrating Christmas in July, which means sharing a little Christmas hope. The hope for us is to be present in the moment of each day spent together with joy for the upcoming Autumn season that will provide us with the slower time that we desire.

May the days of summer be filled with wonder by you, sweet wanderer. May you explore the depths of new explorations and savor the sunshine as the summer breeze whisks past you. May you dive deep into the beauty of water, whether it be still or flowing, and may your heart sync with the tides that glisten in the sun.

Happy Summer, Friends! xoxo
